BROUGHT to life In A Fresh New Way.

People Matter. All People.
Lasting professional development is always birthed out of authentic personal development. Always.
The primary pursuit towards professional excellence, then, is primarily a pursuit toward a better, fuller you. So, how do you do that?
I deeply believe that investing time and energy in seeking to understand who we are, where we came from, and how our lives intersect others' is a primary building block of true professional development.
IT’S IN THE INTERSECTIONS OF LIVES AND STORIES THAT REAL GROWTH HAPPENS.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some relatively untouched villages, some deeply historic sites, and some far-off-the-beaten-path locales. On each of these trips I’ve been able to meet, work with or otherwise engage some wonderful people.
On the flip side, some amazing people have already done all the traveling, and are here in our cities as immigrants and refugees. My family has chosen to walk with some of these families as they transition culturally and linguistically into their new lives. Through these relationships, I’ve learned more about myself than I’ve ever been able to teach anything to anyone else.
And, through my own educational pursuits, I’ve engaged with literature from around the world, fusing it with best-practice teaching pedagogies and culturally responsive instructional design.
I hold a Masters of Education from The Ohio State University College of Education and Human Ecology, and am a Certified Diversity Professional, though the National Diversity Council.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have intersections and interruptions that have taught me deep lessons about life, growth, suffering, friendship, and purpose. And I’d love to share some of those with you.
